Enterprise Platform Patch Lead - Remote

Overview

The Enterprise Platform Patch Lead will manage, automate, and secure patching operations across enterprise platforms for the DHS Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation program supporting the US Coast Guard.

In Short

• Lead enterprise-wide patch management for Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and execute patching schedules in compliance with directives.
• Automate patch deployment using various tools.
• Track and report patch compliance metrics.
• Oversee platform baselines and image maintenance.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on patch impact and risk.
• Respond to audit requests and generate technical documentation.
• Perform validation and regression testing of updates.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate training sessions.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Requirements

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in systems administration or enterprise IT operations.
• 5+ years in patch management of large environments.
• Hands-on experience with MECM, WSUS, Intune, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure patch management tools.
• Experience in IL4/IL5 or FedRAMP environments.
• Strong understanding of STIG compliance and RMF.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Desired certifications in Azure or AWS.
