Overview

The Patient Access Scheduling Agent is responsible for facilitating patient access to healthcare services through effective scheduling and communication with patients and providers.

In Short

  • Handles incoming and outgoing calls for patient appointment scheduling.
  • Secures necessary patient and insurance information.
  • Processes updates to patient records and collects patient liabilities.
  • Schedules in-office procedures and coordinates necessary medical records.
  • Works Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Partially remote position with a focus on patient service.
  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred experience in scheduling or healthcare customer service.
  • High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
  • Encourages a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Preferred associate’s degree in business or healthcare.
  • Experience in scheduling and/or customer service is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare organization is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills are an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to patient care and respect in the workplace.
