Medical Lab Technician (MLT) - Night Shift - Remote

Overview

The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) position involves performing a variety of laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, working independently under the supervision of the Laboratory Section Head.

In Short

• Part-time position, 24 hours per week.
• Night shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Performs routine and complex laboratory tests.
• Cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the lab.
• Responsible for the integrity of specimens throughout testing.
• Operates laboratory equipment and performs maintenance.
• Recognizes critical results and notifies clinical personnel.
• Requires MLT certification or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team member.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science.
• MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
