Overview

The Clinical Medical Assistant provides essential patient care and supports the clinical team by performing various medical and clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations in the healthcare setting.

In Short

• Provides patient care and assesses health status.
• Coordinates patient flow and prepares patients for examination.
• Takes and records vital signs and EKGs.
• Performs basic clinical procedures such as venipuncture.
• Handles office laboratory procedures like urinalysis and blood draws.
• Returns patient calls and documents in patient records.
• Maintains records, reports, and logs as required.
• Performs various clerical duties such as typing and scheduling appointments.
• Maintains inventory of clinical supplies.
• May be eligible for a signing bonus.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant required within six months of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures required.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions effectively.
