Hybrid Software Engineer & Workday Integration Developer - Remote

Overview

C.H. Robinson is seeking a versatile and experienced professional to join as a Hybrid Software Engineer & Workday Integration Developer on our Tech – HR divisional team. This role combines expertise in Workday integrations with strong software engineering skills to build and maintain APIs that support internal systems and business processes.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to support internal applications and data exchange between systems.
• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and well-documented.
• Collaborate with internal development teams to integrate APIs into consuming systems.
• Implement best practices for versioning, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.
• Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
• Engage with cross-functional teams including HR and IT to ensure seamless data flow.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Object-oriented programming (e.g., C#, .NET).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and HTTP.
• Experience with Relational or non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with Version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).
• 1+ years of experience with Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong understanding of data structures, system architecture, and security best practices.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
