Business Development Intern - Remote

Overview

The Business Development Intern will gain insight into the Confections Industry and learn the sophisticated business model between major manufacturers and retailers based in the West Coast.

In Short

• Learn how to build relationships with key retail customers in the Southern California Market.
• Sales calls with customers (weekly, bi-weekly & monthly).
• Market min (1) day per week independent retailer sales visits.
• Work with key retailers to build programing and secure new distribution.
• Coordination of retail appointments during Mfg.’s market visits.
• Store visits to assess program opportunities.
• Market Blitz to gain trial and new points of distribution.
• Implement promotional programs with customers.
• Creation and implementation of presentations.
• Administrative follow up including recap of sales call.

Requirements

• High school education required.
• Local to Southern California.
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Basic computer and email ability required.
