Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at bunny.net, you will help design and build core systems that support a truly distributed, low-latency web using Rust and other technologies.

In Short

• Design, build, and operate core services for EdgeDB Lite and Edge Scripting.
• Integrate libSQL/SQLite storage engines and build intuitive APIs.
• Implement observability pipelines with modern logging and metrics stacks.
• Own the full software development lifecycle including architecture, coding, and testing.
• Collaborate with Product to enhance user experience.
• Optimize for low tail-latency and horizontal scalability.
• Write clear technical documentation and example applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in Rust.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern build ecosystems.
• Understanding of distributed systems and networking protocols.
• Experience with Linux containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SQL databases, especially libSQL or SQLite.
• A builder’s mindset with a focus on autonomy and feedback.
