Senior Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Data Engineer will build and grow the foundation for our studio in insights about our players and our business, merging technical skill with user needs to drive scalable data ecosystems.

In Short

• Design and implement the studio’s data stack.
• Collaborate with analytics and game development teams.
• Participate in agile software development lifecycle.
• Develop data processing frameworks for live game operations.
• Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Ensure data security compliance with GDPR.
• Provide technical leadership on data engineering projects.
• Mentor and lead data engineering efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends in data engineering.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data engineering.
• Product-focused mindset with a passion for gaming.
• Expertise in data architecture patterns.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with cloud-based big data ecosystems.
• Proficiency in SQL & Python; Java or Scala is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Proven expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Knowledge of data governance and security protocols.
