Overview

Brillio is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to support the development of backend services, focusing on building scalable microservices-based systems using Kotlin and Java.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Kotlin (preferred) and Java.
• Build and operate microservices architectures for scalable and resilient systems.
• Develop and optimize high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Integrate with PostgreSQL databases for efficient data modeling.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features.
• Ensure performance and reliability of backend systems.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer (6+ years).
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Kafka.
• Experience building high-throughput distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
