Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Backend (Java/Kotlin) Engineer to join Alfreð, a leading platform in the Icelandic employment market. This role involves working in a fully remote environment in Poland, with a focus on microservices architecture.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a Back-End engineer
• At least 3 years of experience in Java/Kotlin
• Proven track record in designing IaaC services and systems
• Experience in implementing new architectural solutions
• Experience with cloud products (GCP preferred)
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Firebase, etc.)
• Experience with distributed systems
• Kubernetes experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
