Network Technician - Remote

Overview

Brightspeed is looking for an experienced Network Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and supporting network systems in both Central Offices and the field.

In Short

• Support and maintain switching equipment in Central Offices and in the field.
• Keep backup generators in optimum condition.
• Install and maintain special circuits and work within the TIRKS system.
• Monitor switch alarm activity.
• Install, support, and maintain fiber and copper networks.
• Support transport networks and central office power.
• Work overtime and weekends as outages occur.
• Promote and sell Brightspeed services.
• Work well with customers and peers.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years experience as a switch technician.
• Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to promote and sell services.
• Flexibility to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
