Overview

The Network Technician is a key member of the Infrastructure & Network Services team within the Information Technology department. This role plays an essential part in the ongoing administration and support of the University's infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.

In Short

  • Contribute to CCU’s mission of Christ-centered higher education.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user wireless connectivity issues.
  • Configure, monitor, and secure wireless access points.
  • Monitor and mitigate malware and virus threats.
  • Perform Active Directory name changes for users.
  • Address end-user email issues related to Digital Services Account creation.
  • Assist with monthly server patch management.
  • Support all locations with LAN/WAN/WLAN/VoIP connectivity.
  • Conduct basic network switch configurations.
  • Complete work orders, tickets, and service requests with high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • An associate degree or a network certification (preferred).
  • Ability to perform basic network support and administrative tasks.
  • Experience in procuring hardware and software for networks.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Exemplary customer service with a proactive approach.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to solve unfamiliar problems independently.
  • Willingness to adapt and eagerness to learn.
