Overview

Brightspeed is looking for an experienced Network Technician to join our team, responsible for all aspects of working in the physical Central Office and ensuring optimal operation of network systems.

In Short

  • Support and maintain all switching equipment in Central Offices.
  • Keep all backup generators in optimum condition.
  • Install, support, and maintain special circuits and work within the TIRKS system.
  • Monitor and support all switch alarm activity.
  • Install, support, and maintain fiber and copper networks.
  • Support and maintain transport networks and central power platforms.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Drive issues to resolution and promote Brightspeed services.
  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate well with customers and peers.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with inside and outside plant cabling practices.
  • Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
  • Ability to promote and sell Brightspeed services.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work well with customers and peers.
