Overview

As the Manager of Expense Accounting at Brightspeed, you will lead the enhancement and implementation of accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in expense reporting, particularly for SG&A. You will oversee a team and play a crucial role in financial month-end closing and reporting.

• Supervise Staff Accountants and oversee Expense Accounting for SG&A.
• Develop accounting processes for SG&A expense categories.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes.
• Review and approve journal entries and prepare complex entries.
• Analyze Income Statement and Balance Sheet fluctuations.
• Collaborate with FP&A on SG&A expenses accuracy.
• Liaise with multiple departments for financial information.
• Assist in audit activities and develop accounting policies.
• Enhance analysis processes and ensure staff productivity.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation with strong accounting skills.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, 3+ in leadership.
• Experience with large-scale accounting software, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in database tools and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to adapt in a deadline-oriented environment.
