Regional Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific - Remote

Overview

The Regional Legal Counsel will support Brenntag's business units in Asia Pacific by providing legal guidance on contract negotiations, commercial advice, and corporate matters.

In Short

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts in English and Mandarin.
• Support the APAC Legal Director on various legal matters.
• Work closely with Business and Procurement departments.
• Handle corporate matters and statutory filings.
• Implement company policies and conduct training.
• Manage external counsel and corporate secretarial firms.
• Assist in special projects like M&As and restructurings.
• Maintain contract management systems.
• Preferred experience in the chemicals industry.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws Degree (minimum).
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• At least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Ability to multi-task and work with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in managing external counsel.
• Interest in APAC/SEA legal work.
• Common law degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Team-player attitude with good judgment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
