Furniture Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Furniture Engineer (Asia) will play a key role in expanding Branch’s engineering processes and strengthening vendor relationships across China, Southeast Asia, and emerging regions. This role will drive efficiency in new product development by ensuring seamless collaboration between North American teams and global manufacturing partners.

In Short

• Create and support 3D and 2D CAD drawings.
• Work with vendors to revise product drawings.
• Oversee the timely construction of furniture samples.
• Conduct in-house sample testing and troubleshoot issues.
• Build strong relationships with vendor teams.
• Collaborate during sample reviews and prepare documentation.
• Conduct pre-production meetings with vendors.
• Verify product spec sheets before sharing.
• Support pilot runs and validation activities.
• Maintain knowledge of furniture testing standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of engineering experience in furniture products.
• Hands-on engineering and product development experience.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with compliance and testing standards.
• Knowledge of costing structures and BOMs.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively for supplier engagement.
