• Leads and develops a high-performing team of Underwriting Operations Specialists.
• Shapes and refines underwriting operational processes.
• Partners closely with the Underwriting Practices team for operational execution.
• Analyzes workload trends and operational metrics for efficiency opportunities.
• Oversees quality and communication standards.
• Drives a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manages relationships with third-party service providers.
• Serves as an escalation point for complex policy scenarios.
• Balances task delivery with talent development.
• Partners with Technology, QA, and Data teams for test strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years in P&C Personal Lines insurance underwriting.
• 2+ years in operational processing or project enablement roles.
• Experience managing teams, including hiring and performance coaching.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Comfort with workload management reporting and metrics interpretation.
• Thrives in evolving environments with limited structure.
• Identifies process gaps and proposes innovative solutions.
• Solid understanding of technology’s role in underwriting operations.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience desired.
