Manager, General Ledger - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Ledger (GL) Manager to oversee and manage the GL accounting function for our North American entities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and expertise in payroll accounting, prepayments, fixed asset management, month-end reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial closing activities.

• Oversee GL accounting function for North American entities.
• Perform month-end reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure accurate payroll accounting and reconciliations.
• Manage prepayments and fixed assets effectively.
• Prepare and file GST/HST returns for Canada.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Payroll team to resolve discrepancies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Work hours are 6:30 pm to 3:30 am IST, Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Proven experience in GL accounting and month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian GST/HST regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
