Senior Platform Engineer II - Remote

In Short

• Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs (GraphQL and REST).
• Develop performant, fault-tolerant systems using caching, queuing, and asynchronous processing.
• Implement event-driven architectures with tools like Kafka and Redis MQ.
• Partner with infrastructure engineers to evolve cloud-native architecture on AWS.
• Lead projects from ideation to deployment with a focus on quality and scalability.
• Proactively identify issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
• Demonstrate ownership in code quality and collaboration.

Requirements

• 6+ years building and scaling distributed backend systems.
• Strong background in GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Deep understanding of caching and queuing systems (Kafka, Redis MQ).
• Experience architecting large-scale services on AWS.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Python, Node.js).
• Proven ability to lead projects and set technical direction.
• Strong communicator in cross-functional environments.
