Overview

DreamWorks Animation is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer I to join their Studio Platform Engineering team. This role involves developing platforms that support various cloud providers and data centers, focusing on CI/CD processes and platform health.

In Short

• Collaborate within a multi-functional team for CI/CD platforms-as-a-service.
• Automate application deployments using Kubernetes and Spinnaker.
• Implement workflows for Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the studio platform.
• Monitor system health and drive optimization.
• Provide tier-3 on-call support for production services.
• Use tools like Datadog for performance tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the Animation Industry.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in DevOps best practices (Git).
• Expert Linux experience (Red Hat, CentOS).
• Knowledge of animation production pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Spinnaker, Jenkins, etc.).
• Software engineering skills in multiple languages (Java, Go, Python).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
