Certified Medical Assistant (Care Advocate) - Remote

Overview

Boulder Care is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (internally referred to as a Care Advocate) for a 100% remote, full-time position with multiple shifts available based on team needs.

In Short

• Work as a Care Advocate guiding patients with substance use disorder.
• Complete new patient intake prep and schedule visits.
• Monitor incoming patient messages and review drug screen results.
• Communicate with pharmacies for refills and authorizations.
• Support clinicians with patient care and referrals.
• Must have two years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Experience in behavioral health and patient advocacy is required.
• Comfortable with technology and common business tools.
• Work from home with occasional calls and weekend coverage.
• Full-time position expected to work 40 hours a week, M-F.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• One year experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment.
• Comfortable with technology and business tools.
• Exceptional clinical skills and team collaboration.
• Passion for serving people with addiction and mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology, especially addiction medicine.
• Dedicated workspace with high-speed internet for HIPAA compliance.
• Experience in remote work or telemedicine preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
