Overview

Bloomsbury Academic seeks a Marketing Manager to join its growing marketing and publicity department. The ideal candidate will have experience in audience-focused marketing with experience in digital marketing.

In Short

  • Lead the planning, creation, and execution of marketing plans for titles for the academic and professional market in the US
  • Work in close association with marketing, sales, and editorial colleagues to drive growth and brand awareness
  • Communicate promotional updates and analyses to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team for direct-to-consumer campaigns
  • Create and develop marketing materials to position products effectively
  • Understand the competitive landscape to support sales and product development
  • Travel to conferences to represent the Bloomsbury Academic brand

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in academic publishing
  • Proven record of implementing best practices in campaigns and branding
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience presenting in front of groups
  • Ability to deliver timely, accurate work
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
