Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Bizimply is seeking a Data Engineer to help extend its foundational data infrastructure, enabling better decision-making and supporting AI initiatives.

In Short

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and SQL.
• Design and optimize data pipelines with dbt or sqlmesh.
• Develop and manage the ODS and support a modern Data Warehouse rollout.
• Integrate data from internal systems and external APIs.
• Collaborate with engineers on machine learning workflows.
• Ensure high data quality through monitoring and validation.
• Guide less experienced team members and promote best practices.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure in the cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Implement monitoring for reliable data pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and Airflow.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and data warehousing tools.
• Exposure to ML pipelines or collaboration with ML/AI teams.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience building an ODS or Data Warehouse.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems or streaming tools.
• DevOps experience or infrastructure-as-code knowledge.
