Chief Legal Officer - Remote

Overview

Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Chief Legal Officer that will lead the company’s legal and compliance functions and staff, oversee and coordinate legal matters, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and collaborate with outside counsel as needed.

• Lead the legal and compliance functions at Bitcoin Depot.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Advise on SEC reporting requirements and corporate governance.
• Draft and review contracts and agreements.
• Manage external counsel and legal assignments.
• Oversee compliance staff and programs.
• Coordinate with the COO and Executive team.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and licensed attorney.
• 10+ years of experience in-house or at a large firm.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. financial services regulations.
• Experience with SEC reporting and corporate governance.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency compliance is a plus.
