Finance and Accounting Associate - Remote

Overview

Binti is seeking an analytical and strategic Finance and Accounting Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in finance, accounting, data analytics, or management consulting, who is ready to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. As a Finance and Accounting Associate, you will not only oversee essential administrative finance functions—such as invoicing, insurance management, and processing payments—but also lead initiatives to streamline and innovate our finance and operational processes.

In Short

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collections activities.
• Contribute to our internal data infrastructure through automated data extraction and transformation.
• Record and apply incoming payments from customers.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices.
• Generate and send out invoices to customers.
• Review and process employee submissions for expense reimbursement.
• Maintain accurate records in the accounting system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Act as the primary contact for visitors and activities in Binti’s Oakland office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Previous work or internship experience in accounting or finance expected.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in Excel or Google Sheets; SQL skills a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
