Senior Associate, Finance and Accounting - Remote

Overview

The Senior Associate, Finance and Accounting will work with the Head of Finance for Nigeria, involving accounting, reporting, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and statutory compliance.

In Short

• Perform accounting functions including verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain all general ledgers and related accounts.
• Assist with setting up accounting books for new countries.
• Ensure timely preparation and filing of statutory reports.
• Coordinate annual external audits.

Requirements

• A finance-related degree, ICAN/ACCA is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
• Experience with accounting software (Netsuite, QuickBooks, Oracle).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SQL and Power BI is a plus.
• Self-motivated, results-focused, and creative.
• Methodical approach and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work with tight deadlines in a startup environment.
