Healthcare Interface Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position involves providing technical expertise in deploying and supporting application platforms and software integration in healthcare environments, contributing to the mission of saving and sustaining lives.

In Short

• Provide integration with customers’ EMR systems and medical devices.
• Deploy Baxter’s common architecture platform and software applications.
• Assist in various integration projects including ADT, Orders, and Results.
• Work with cross-functional teams and external customers.
• Participate in a 24x7 support rotation.
• Travel up to 25% for project needs.
• Must be located in the Pacific Standard Time zone.
• Full-time remote position with standard business hours.
• Requires effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Drive to learn and master new technologies is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in an HL7 integration role.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, XML, JSON, and API integration.
• Experience with HL7 interface engines.
• Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.
• Scripting language experience (Python, PHP, JavaScript).
• Experience with PostgreSQL database is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
