Overview

The Senior Manager of Government Contracts at Baxter is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the company’s compliance program for government contracts, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

• Own the compliance program for government contracts.
• Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, VAAR, and other regulations.
• Supervise regulatory changes affecting federal contracts.
• Lead internal and external audits.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain a risk register.
• Develop and deliver training programs on government contract requirements.
• Report compliance metrics and risks to key customers.
• Manage contract oversight support and audit investigations.
• Ensure accurate and timely disclosures and certifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Law, or related field.
• 8 years minimum experience in government contracts compliance.
• Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, VAAR regulations.
• Experience with DLA, VA, and GSA contract vehicles.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE, Oracle).
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Previous experience with government audit agencies.
• Familiarity with Trade Agreements Act (TAA) and Buy American Act (BAA).
