Inpatient Facility Medical Coder - Remote

Overview

This position is for a motivated and experienced Inpatient Facility Medical Coder to join the Acute Care HIMS Coding Team at Banner Health. The coder will work remotely and is responsible for coding and abstracting diagnoses and procedures for inpatient records.

• Pay range is $26.82 - $40.22 per hour.

• Quality standards set at a DRG accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• Requires strong knowledge of medical coding guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent training in medical record keeping.
• Active coding certification (CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA).
• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience.
• Proficiency in ICD CM and PCS coding principles.
• Able to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience in a large healthcare organization preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coding regulations and standards.
