Overview

Africa Capital Hub is seeking a legal adviser to support the structuring and delivery of the School Feeding Development Impact Bond (DIB) in Rwanda, ensuring the transaction is legally sound and investor-ready.

In Short

• Provide transaction-readiness legal advisory services.
• Advise on transaction structure and legal frameworks for a DIB.
• Assess government contracts, MoUs, and PPP arrangements.
• Design and review escrow, trustee, and payment mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with tax, FX, KYC/AML, and regulatory requirements.
• Review transaction documentation and conditions precedent.
• Deliver practical, transaction-focused legal outputs within a 12-day timeline.
• Support negotiations and drafting of transaction agreements with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualification to practice law in Rwanda.
• Experience in structured finance, blended finance, or PPP transactions.
• Expertise in escrow and trust structuring.
• Advising on government contracts and PPP frameworks in East Africa.
• Knowledge of tax, FX regulations, KYC/AML compliance in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Understanding of data protection frameworks.
