Overview

Bankers without Boundaries (BwB) is seeking a legal adviser to support the structuring and delivery of the Solid’Africa School Feeding Development Impact Bond (DIB) in Rwanda, ensuring the project is legally sound and investor-ready.

In Short

Provide transaction-readiness legal advisory services.
Advise on transaction structure and legal frameworks.
Assess government contracts, MoUs, and PPP arrangements.
Design and review escrow and payment mechanisms.
Provide guidance on tax, FX, KYC/AML, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
Deliver legal outputs within a compressed timeline.
Support negotiations and drafting of transaction agreements.

Requirements

Qualification to practice law in Rwanda.
Experience in structured finance and blended finance.
Expertise in escrow and trust structuring.
Experience with government contracts in East Africa.
Knowledge of tax and KYC/AML compliance.
Understanding of data protection frameworks.
