• Manage a growing team within Axon’s VR software engineering organization.
• Drive the technical vision for your team, guiding architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product management and design to achieve customer outcomes.
• Lead planning, prioritization, and resourcing for your team.
• Establish a pipeline for multiple VR products.
• Hire and develop a top-notch engineering team.
• Conduct 1:1s and performance reviews for engineers.
• Ensure seamless integration with various systems across Axon.
• Build a high-performing engineering culture.
• Work closely with senior engineering management on strategic planning.

Requirements

• 6+ years professional software development experience.
• 2+ years leading a full-stack/backend engineering team.
• Experience with high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems.
• Deep experience in languages like Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL datastores.
• Experience with large Azure environments.
• Frontend web languages like JavaScript & TypeScript.
• Proven coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with API design and developer programs.
