Data Protection Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Data Protection Legal Counsel to support the development and implementation of global data protection strategies for a leading company in the field of data protection and technology.

In Short

• Support the development and implementation of global data protection strategies.
• Provide legal advice on compliance with EU GDPR, Swiss Data Protection Act, and international data protection regulations.
• Assist in the creation and review of data protection documents such as Data Processing Agreements (DPA) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and risk analysis for personal data processing.
• Support in handling data breaches, including communication with supervisory authorities.
• Advise internal teams on data protection issues and ensure compliance across the organization.

Requirements

• 3-10 years of experience in data protection law.
• Strong knowledge of EU GDPR, Swiss Data Protection Act, and other global data protection regulations.
• Experience in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and creating data protection documents.
• Familiarity with data protection management systems (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc).
• Excellent German and English language skills; additional language skills are a plus.
