Overview

An experienced growth-oriented Business Development Manager is sought to expand the company’s market position and achieve financial growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

In Short

  • Develop business development strategies and execute the go-to-market plan.
  • Identify new markets and customer segments aligned with the growth plan.
  • Prospect for new customers and nurture relationships.
  • Participate in marketing and sales activities to find new opportunities.
  • Represent the brand and act as spokesperson for new technology.
  • Outreach and book meetings to qualify new opportunities.
  • Develop sales pitches, proposals, and pricing strategies.
  • Work with account managers and supply chain teams to onboard customers.
  • Track and report on sales KPIs and revenue performance.
  • Provide market intelligence to guide technology development.

Requirements

  • Engineering or Technologist Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • 1 year experience selling customized electronics products.
  • Technical familiarity with electronic control products preferred.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing type company, ideally in electronics.
  • Familiarity with overseas suppliers and international vendors.
  • Experience with a sales cycle ranging from 6-18 months.
  • Experience in an ISO environment.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
