AVER is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with government contracts experience to support the Controller in full cycle accounting. Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in advising the company on its accounting practices and financial strategy. In Short

• Maintaining general ledger and preparing entries
• Completion of monthly balance sheet and banking reconciliations
• Preparing month to month balance sheet flux analysis
• Performing full cycle A/R processing
• Full cycle A/P, preparing payments and reconciling accounts
• Developing and implementing accounting procedures
• Answering accounting and financial questions
• Providing ad-hoc reports as needed
• Assisting with project set-up and payroll operations
• Completing semi-monthly payroll

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Hands on knowledge of GAAP, SOX, FAR, DCAA
• Experience with government contracts (FFP, T&M, CPFF)
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint/Time and Expense
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to track multiple tasks with various stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of federal or government contracting financial principles
