Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

This role involves overseeing revenue and commission processing of sales contracts, managing related reporting and monthly close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

In Short

• Manage revenue accounting processes and supervise a revenue accountant.
• Review sales contracts and apply appropriate accounting treatment.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and maintain price lists.
• Book revenue recognition and reconcile deferred revenue.
• Collaborate with commissions team for accurate calculations.
• Calculate SaaS metrics for KPI reporting.
• Prepare financial audit reporting related to revenue.
• Coach junior accountants and support their development.
• Implement scalable processes for international expansion.
• Lead ad hoc projects and analyses as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with Big 4.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience managing or coaching junior accountants.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Hands-on, communicative, and organized mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP and SalesForce is a plus.
