ALC Developer for Government Program - Remote

Overview

This project is working on a government program requiring strong ALC programming skills and the ability to convert legacy ALC code to Java.

In Short

• Develop Assembly Language Coding (ALC) programs using ALC coding standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe ALC & Job Control Language (JCL).
• Execute unit tests and integration plans/scripts.
• Interface with business and IT teams to translate requirements.
• Collaborate with ALC developers to convert legacy ALC code to Java.
• Analyze, document, and convert complex ALC modules to Java.
• Support Java developers by explaining ALC code logic.
• Document existing logic and contribute to the ALC to Java conversion process.
• Work within an agile team to modernize existing systems.
• Experience with full systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in developing applications in ALC.
• Focus on defect resolution.
• Prior experience working on Agile teams.
• Ability to obtain IRS Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) Clearance.
• IRS/BMF/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred.
• Understanding Java is a plus.
