Overview

As the Total Rewards Specialist for Ascend, your job is to ensure we are delivering on our promise of better employee experience, benefits and compensation for our employees than what they could otherwise experience at independent regional firms.

In Short

  • Design, implement, and manage competitive benefits programs.
  • Partner with brokers and vendors to negotiate favorable rates.
  • Administer benefits programs and serve as the primary contact.
  • Analyze and optimize benefits strategies for cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead annual benefits enrollment processes.
  • Assist in evaluating self-funded insurance plans.
  • Support M&A-related benefits and compensation integrations.
  • Communicate total rewards programs effectively to employees.
  • Maintain and manage benefits and compensation-related systems.
  • Conduct market research for competitive compensation structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms like Workday and Bswift.
  • Strong Excel/data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of benefits compliance and ACA reporting.
  • Certifications such as CEBS or PHR/SPHR preferred.
