Desktop Support Technician - Remote

Overview

The position is responsible for configuring, setting up, installing, and supporting desktops, printers, telephones, LAN hardware, and other peripheral devices in a multi-vendor network environment.

In Short

• Configuration and installation of desktop software.
• Provides support to branch locations and remote users.
• Documents potential problems and resolutions.
• Maintains integrity of authorization controls.
• Responsible for inventory counts and hardware tracking.
• Demonstrates troubleshooting skills.
• Monitors devices for availability.
• Mentors and assists other staff members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology.
• Two years’ experience in IT support roles.
• Knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows OS, MS Office, and Outlook.
• Ability to provide basic PC training and support.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to perform diagnostic tests and repairs.
• IT Fundamentals & A+ Certifications preferred.
• Experience with password resets and SCCM Imaging preferred.
