Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Federal Government Projects - Remote

Overview

Arcadis is looking to hire an Electrical Federal SME (Subject Matter Expert) to support the Places Design & Engineering group. The ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in facility design for United States Federal Agencies.

In Short

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff.
• Knowledge of industry standards and federal agency standards.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and project plans.
• Fluency in design and modeling software including Revit and SpecsIntact.
• Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys and audits.
• Skilled in designing various facility types including EV charging infrastructure.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal employment eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 10-15 years of experience.
• Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in consulting engineering.
• Extensive experience producing IFC design packages.
• Multiple state licenses preferred.
• Ability to develop construction-ready design packages.
• Knowledge of safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, and IEEE.
• Experience with federal agency standards such as UFC and UFGS.
• Ability to identify and pursue potential clients.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 35%.
