International Vendor Manager - Remote

Overview

Apex is looking for an experienced, steady, and proactive International Vendor Manager to strengthen the foundation of our global manufacturing relationships, focusing on long-term partnerships and performance.

In Short

• Manage relationships with Southeast Asian contract manufacturers.
• Ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of vendor performance.
• Conduct regular check-ins and maintain proactive communication with vendors.
• Draft and uphold vendor agreements to protect interests and minimize risk.
• Fluency in Mandarin is preferred for effective communication.
• Travel to vendor locations and trade shows is required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align vendor performance with company goals.
• Implement process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Foster a culture of transparency and accountability in vendor relationships.
• Report directly to the CFO and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Proven track record in vendor relationship management.
• Strong communication skills, especially in cross-cultural contexts.
• Experience in contract negotiation and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Experience in quality management and performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with APICS or similar methodologies for process improvement.
• Willingness to travel for vendor visits and team-building events.
• Experience with AI tools for process efficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of Southeast Asian business culture is beneficial.
