Business Analyst - Remote

Overview

Apella is applying computer vision, machine learning to improve the standard of care in the most critical aspect of healthcare: surgery. We build applications to enable surgeons, nurses, and hospital administrators to deliver the highest quality care.

In Short

• Respond to high-priority, ad hoc customer data requests.
• Own end-to-end analytics workstreams from raw data to production-ready models.
• Develop internal dashboards and reporting tools for commercial teams.
• Identify themes across customer data requests and build scalable tools.
• Translate recurring data needs into structured feedback for the product team.
• Present complex analyses clearly to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain a portfolio of strategic analyses that inform product strategy.

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare analytics, ideally in hospital or surgical settings.
• Expertise in SQL and dbt; familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Comfort with healthcare data sources, including EHRs and clinical schedules.
• Strong analytical instincts and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical teams.
• A proactive, detail-oriented builder’s mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
