We’re seeking a detail orientated Accountant / Bookkeeper to help our client, a CFO Finance Consultancy in New Zealand. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the consultancy’s clients by ensuring accurate accounting records and work directly with the CFO. In Short

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements on a monthly and annual basis.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Manage payroll, bank reconciliations, and cashflow management.
• Assist with tax preparation and planning, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Track and manage budgets, reporting any discrepancies or issues.
• Provide reports and insights to management regarding financial performance.
• Utilise Xero software to streamline operations and maintain organised records.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
• Experience with payroll management.
• Proficiency in Xero software.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
