Overview

The HR Director will lead the Human Resources function at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, ensuring team support through HR programs and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7 years of broad HR experience with progressive responsibility.
• 3 years in a formal leadership role.
• Experience in labor relations preferred.
• Current HR certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. employment laws, especially California law.
• Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with HRIS systems.
• Ability to travel periodically for staff meetings.
