Communications Director - Remote

Overview

The Communications Director will lead the Advancement department at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, shaping and driving a strategic vision to elevate the brand, deepen stakeholder engagement, and increase revenue.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in communications with progressive responsibility.
• 3+ years managing a team of communications professionals.
• Experience in nonprofit, academia, or legal services communications preferred.
• Proven ability to develop comprehensive communications strategies.
• Deep expertise across core communications channels.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong media relations and training expertise.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Commitment to the mission of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
