Overview

The Fellow will investigate and draft regulatory complaints against individuals and facilities that exploit animals, managing submissions and conducting research to support the Animal Legal Defense Fund's mission.

In Short

  • Investigate and draft regulatory complaints related to animal exploitation.
  • Manage Freedom of Information Act and public records requests.
  • Conduct factual research and analysis on animal facilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments on regulatory issues.
  • Prepare presentations for conferences and events.
  • Provide expertise on regulatory matters to staff.
  • Maintain TRAP’s data repository.
  • Perform additional duties to further ALDF’s objectives.

Requirements

  • Must have graduated from law school within three years of the fellowship start date.
  • Juris Doctorate degree required.
  • Commitment to the mission of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and meetings.
