Overview

The Programme and Advocacy Director will provide high-level managerial and technical leadership for the Gavi CSO Hosting Arrangement, focusing on program oversight and strategic advocacy to amplify civil society voices within Gavi’s governance.

• Lead the Gavi CSO Hosting Arrangement, ensuring alignment with Gavi's 6.0 strategy.
• Manage program activities ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Design and implement advocacy strategies for global immunization.
• Facilitate engagement with stakeholders including governments and donors.
• Oversee team management and capacity building within the constituency.
• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and submit technical and financial reports to stakeholders.
• Promote knowledge sharing and learning within the constituency.
• Monitor advocacy outputs and ensure timely reporting.
• Support clear communication within the Gavi CSO Secretariat.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field.
• 10 years of leadership experience in global health or civil society sectors.
• Expertise in advocacy, policy engagement, and communication.
• Experience managing donor compliance and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
• Familiarity with Gavi policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in English; French is a plus.
