Overview

As a Test Engineer at Amplify, you will join a talented team tackling the toughest problems in education with the best ideas in technology – including user experience, APIs and services, data analysis, and deployment pipelines.

In Short

• Build software that respects privacy and ensures security while offering useful insights.
• Analyze performance and find tricky bugs using tools like DataDog or AWS CloudWatch.
• Improve app reliability and uptime by performing extensive load testing.
• Write tests for APIs to ensure that apps interoperate with ease.
• Monitor apps to ensure availability for teachers and classrooms.
• Write fast test automation using tools like webdriverIO.
• Ensure application code runs great across platforms under variable constraints.
• Collaborate and have your code reviewed on a cross-functional team.
• Participate in cross-team share-outs, brownbags, and workshop series.
• Work on optimizing software for stability and security.

Requirements

• BSCS or equivalent.
• 3+ years test automation experience.
• Excellent coding skills in JavaScript.
• Experience writing test automation for APIs.
• Hands-on involvement in writing and running load tests.
• Familiarity with relational databases.
• Deep understanding of wdio.
• Ability to work with a close-knit team.
• Practical knowledge of Agile processes.
• Experience with Slack, Jira, Google Docs, Git, Jenkins CI, and AWS.
