Solution Architect - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to drive the architecture, development and implementation of data solutions to Amgen functional groups, engaging with various teams to optimize data solutions.

In Short

• Implement and manage large scale data analytic solutions.
• Collaborate with various teams to deliver data solutions.
• Design, develop, optimize, deliver and support Data solutions on AWS and Databricks.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Define guidelines and strategies for the Enterprise Data platform.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of data platforms.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends in data integration and analytics.
• Work in a SAFe Agile/Scrum model.
• Enhance cost-efficiency and performance for data solutions.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 6 - 8 years or Bachelor’s degree with 9 - 12 years of experience in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Data integrations and BI technology stack.
• Strong experience with AWS data lake, Snowflake, or Azure Data Fabric.
• Expert-level proficiency with Databricks.
• Strong experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Spark and Delta Lake.
• Familiarity with BI tools including Tableau and PowerBI.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams.
• Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer preferred.
