The State Government Affairs Senior Manager will lead Amgen’s local government affairs and community engagement activities, focusing on Los Angeles and southern California, advocating for policies that align with Amgen’s mission.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of government affairs experience, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in California state government preferred.
• Strong network of relationships in southern California.
• Deep understanding of California legislative environment.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
• Critical thinking and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel within California up to 20% of the time.
